Our Mission: Putting Education Research to Good Work

As a network focused on bringing research and practice together, we seek to identify, investigate and learn from innovative and promising practice as well as the application and scale-up of promising research findings. We work to facilitate, advance and sustain peer collaboration among researchers, educators and the community for the development and regular use of evidence-based and evidence-validated practice and research methods in order to understand what works in education and to improve supports and outcomes for learners of every age.

Our vision is to create and sustain an active network of support for collaboration among individuals and organizations working on education practice, research and policy in order to accelerate the development and dissemination of research-based, research-validated innovations that can improve education outcomes for all learners. Our focus is on enabling better connections among the vast amount of knowledge, experience and expertise within schools, districts, higher education and community organizations. These groups are typically disconnected from each other due to different structures, ways of operating and core concerns. The result is that much potential for developing, improving and disseminating new ideas is currently lost.
