Abstract

The article relates the authors experiences in begin interrogated by immigration officials in the United States. According to the author, the question "Where are you from?" stirs anger in him. As a counselor who is interested in multicultural issues, the author feels it was critical for him to comprehend the reason for such an anger. The author believes it does not matter where he is from. But the author makes it clear that he is not giving the impression that race and ethnicity should no longer matter in the country.
